I don't know why so many people say that are experiencing problem with this add-on .It never crashed my browser and saved me in a lot of situations when websites attempted to run malicious script.Take the time to learn advanced settings and with few tweaks you will feel more secure when browsing the web.It's not that hard to allow a specific script to be run on a webpage.

I just love this extension. Works very well, but there are something that can be added. Some news sites use a reload page system that is impossible to block (even using accessibility.blockautorefresh preference setting in about:config). I believe is a javascript code because if I block javascript the page do not reload, but I loose some information from thet site. An option to block this particular script will be very nice!

Just wanted to say thanks. After fixing a few horrible messes on roommates' computers caused by mysterious illnesses they caught on the Internet, it has come home to me what a great job Noscript is doing on my machine. I just browse and completely forget about the crap I am not seeing in my browser. Its even easy to get deluded into thinking the Internet is getting more friendly. :) Noscript is getting so much easier to use too. I used to feel like I was wrestling with it and now I hardly notice it.

From 18:16 UTC on June 17, 2008 to 18:16 UTC on June 18, 2008, 8,002,530 people downloaded Firefox 3 and are now enjoying a safer, smarter and better Web.

Kalau kamu suka dengan browsing mungkin sudah kenal dengan Internet Explorer (IE). Itu lho, browser bawaan dari Microsoft Windows. Sayangnya, browser ini lambat banget dan kurang aman untuk browsing di internet (ini berdasarkan pengalaman penulis). Apalagi di IE tidak ada download manager, jadi agak susah buat kita kalau yang suka download untuk me-manage-nya.

Jadi, bagaimana solusinya?

Mudah kok, ganti saja IE kamu dengan web browser si rubah merah Firefox 2. Browser ini memiliki beberapa fitur yang cocok di pakai untuk "surf" di internet.

Fitur Firefox 2
1. Tab Browsing
Kalau kita buka halaman web baru maka secara default akan ditampilkan di TAB. Dan tiap tab punya tombol "close" sendiri, tapi jika kita tidak sengaja meng close tab tersebut, ada cara mudah untuk mengembalikannya yakni dengan pergi ke menu History dan pilih dan pilih "Recently Closed Tab". Kalau halaman web yang kita terlalu banyak maka secara otomatis panah scroll akan muncul disebelah kanan dan kiri TAB. Untuk melihat daftar halaman web yang sedang kita baca klik saja panah segitiga di bagian TAB paling kanan.

2. Spell Checking
Firefox 2 juga dilengkapi dengan fasilitas "spell checking". Suatu program yang akan membetulkan kata-kata yang salah kita ketikan, saat kita mengetik di email atau blogg. Tapi, fasilitas ini untuk bahasa inggris tentunya.

3. Session Restore
Dengan "Session Restore" kita dapat mengembalikan dengan tepat halaman web, tab, text yang ada dalam form sebelumnya yang telah kita close. Dan proses download yang berlangsung. Sehingga dengan fitur ini kita tidak perlu kawatir kalau tiba-tiba browsing kita terputus dan download kita belum selesai, gunakan saja fasilitas "Session Restore" maka semua akan kembali seperti semula (sebelum browsing kita putus). Session Restore juga bisa kita set saat pertama kali Firefox 2 dijalankan.

4.Integrated Search
Firefox 2 membantu kita mencari apa yang kita inginkan. Dengan Search bar yang telah tersedia dengan search engine seperti Google, Yahoo!, Amazon, eBay, Answer.com, dan Creative Common kita tinggal mengetikkan keyword yang ingin kita cari dan menentukan search engine dari daftar yang telah disediakan. Kita juga bisa menambahkan search engine sendiri dari web fovorit kita.

5. Pop Up Blocker
Fitur lain yang telah disediakan di Firefox 2 adalah Pop-up BLocker. Dengan fitur ini iklan-iklan ataupun spam lewat pop up window bisa kita blocker. Kita juga bisa mengijinkan pop up dari mana saja yang boleh muncul. Firefox akan memberitahukan jika ada halaman pop up yang telah diblock lewat bar informasi di kanan bawah layar.

6. Aksesbilitas bagi orang yang memiliki kekurangan visual
Firefox memberikan pengalaman browsing yang lebih baik untuk semua orang termasuk orang-orang yang memiliki kekurangan penglihatan. Firefox mendukung akses DHTML. Bagi para Web Developer dapat membuta halaman yang mengurangi jumlah tabbing yang dibutuhkan untuk bernvaigasi bagi orang-orang yang memiliki keterbatasan gerak.
